Flu Shots Now Required for Children and an INFANT WARNING About Fluoridated Water

In New Jersey, children who attend preschool or daycare will soon be required to have annual flu vaccinations, despite protests from many parents who don’t think the government should be able to tell them what substances, toxic or otherwise, they must inject into their children.

Of course, I find this reprehensible because while it is in the public interest for all people to be vaccinated and I did choose to have my kids receive the normal childhood vaccines, having the government tell you can’t refuse something you feel could be irreversibly dangerous to your child is actually pretty scary.

I wonder how many people will object when they mandate that we must all be microchipped because it’s in the public interest?

But I digress, because what I really wanted to touch on besides the forced flu shots is water fluoridation.

If you want to talk about having something dangerous forced upon you without your consent, you need only turn to you kitchen faucet. In most counties, townships etc. in the US, water is fluoridated without the consent or permission of those who have no choice but to drink it.

So what’s wrong with fluoride, you ask? Well, for one thing, it’s not medical grade fluoride. It’s actually a by-product of the phosphate industry that is considered toxic waste until they put it in your drinking water.

Additionally, fluoride is a cumulative poison. On average, only 50% of the fluoride we ingest each day is excreted through the kidneys. The remainder accumulates in our bones, pineal gland, and other tissues.

Is this bad?

Well, considering that fluoride is directly linked to thyroid disease, damage to the male reproductive system (and we wonder why male sperm counts are down 50% in the last half century?) and a whole host of other potentially dangerous health problems, I’d have to say yes. It’s bad.

Shockingly, the US Public Health Service first endorsed fluoridation in 1950, before one single trial had ever been completed.

Have you ever read your toothpaste tube? The directions state that you should NOT swallow toothpaste. Why? Because it’s not meant to be ingested and yet we drink it in our water everyday.

The dental community acknowledges that fluoridated water does little or nothing to stop pit and fissure cavities, the most common kind of tooth decay and too much will actually cause dental fluorosis where the enamel of the tooth is eroded.

Both of my children’s baby teeth came in with enamel hypoplasia where the enamel was already damaged. The dentist speculates that it’s actually dental fluorosis from drinking so much fluoridated water when they were in utero. Nice. Think my county water department will pay our dental bills?

Oh, and it’s totally in your breastmilk, moms. Your babies are being fluoridated whether you like it or not.

FLUORIDE WARNING FOR INFANTS

Does your drinking water contain added fluoride? If so, keep it away from infants under the age of one. This directive was issued recently by an unlikely source: the American Dental Association (ADA). Read the whole thing and see why fluoride is also now being considered a neurotoxin that’s dangerous to developing infant brains. It’s horrible.

I could go on and on and on about water fluoridation because the facts are really, REALLY jaw-dropping but in the interest of brevity, you can read about it at the Fluoride Action Network if you want more information.

Yes, I read about the flu vaccine thing. I almost posted about it, but it appears you got to before me! :) What really bothered me about the article I read was that it touched briefly-ever so briefly- on how the government just brushed aside the parents objections. Scary.

On the fluoride thing-it’s rather ironic that the ADA would issue such a directive, when they (actually the ADPA, a branch of ADA- had teamed up with Coca-Cola a few years ago to promote pediatric dental health.

My pediatrician has been recommending fluoride tablets as supplement to the water we drink every time we have a visit. It confounds me. Why the hell would you want to do that?

Gah! Doctors and Government should not rule our decisions about our own children!!

Fluoride is found in tea - and instant tea - a very popular drink in the US. I wonder if an average tea drinker gets more fluoride from the tea or from the water used to make the tea? I wonder if Mom’s should not drink tea - even if made with unfluoridated water - when pregnant? Hmmm.

Living in New Jersey, I can’t tell you HOW much this pisses me off.

If my Pediatrician thought that my children were at risk, of course, then I’d tack this vaccine on to the bazillion we’ve paid for (20% of which is out of pocket and whatever non-negotiated amount the insurance company always seems to feel, you know, non-negotiable) times 4 kids - enough, already.

But, as a parent, getting them into school and keeping them healthy, well, you do what you gotta do.

Running to the doctor’s office for a flu shot, under the advice of Uncle Sam, not so much.

Oh, and our water IS fluoridated, as well - GAH!

This is so crazy! I refused when my son’s pediatrician insisted he have a flu shot this year. He had one last year and he came down with more flus, colds, viruses and other junk than years previous.

I am so angry that the gov’t thinks they are helping us, when in fact they’re making things 100x worse.

I had actually read that thing about the flouride when the little angel was a bottle-fed baby. I used bottled water. The ped pointed out to make sure she started drinking tap water after she got on regular milk so she got the flouride “she needed for her teeth.”

    Awesome.

Good for you for bringing this out into the forefront. I’ve known about this for a long time now since I have hypothyroidsm and became an activist in knowing how to deal with my overwhelming symptoms. I didn’t know until I read in a top Endocrinologist book that there was a link to hypothryroidism and fluoridated water. I stopped giving my children the recommended fluoridated vitamins and water after I had my 11year old. I have 3 more children since and have opted not to give them these products for fearing of triggering any genetic predisposition.

If your readers are interested the book is “Thyroid Power” by Dr. Richard Shames and Karilee Halo Shames, RN. He talks extensively about the controversy surrounding fluridated water as well as other chemicals that disrupt the functioning of the thyroid. A great read for people who are suffering with unknown and untreated symptoms like chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, hypoglycemia, etc. and can’t get answers from their physicians. It’s very true that the medical community is unaware and untrained about these matters and fail to teach patients about what can happen when you just follow along with gov’t mandates.
