I am a walker and sometimes runner. Growing up in Wisconsin, my father and I would take long walks through neighborhoods. My father and I love architecture, and we would pick out our favorite houses and describe why it was our favorite. I suppose these walks were on par with green walking. What is green walking?

Green Our Vaccines March Held
When I first got word about the Green Our Vaccines March, I was curious to see just how much media coverage there would be on the issue. ABC News has a front page link to the story, under “Celeb Causes”. There is a video from the morning’s interview on “Good Morning America“.
As of a few minutes ago there was over a 140 comments, and folks are letting their opinion be known. The mainstream medical community keeps saying the same thing. Read the rest of this entry »
Green Our Vaccines March
Over at Treehugger, there was a short listing of hollywoods sexiest vegetarians. It was not the vegetarian aspect that made my day, or the the sexy part, but the link to Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey’s latest press release regarding the Green Our Vaccine march this coming Wednesday on June 4th in Washingtong D.C. What is their goal?
Health Care Chain Eliminates Bottled Water
Just when you might think the “big guys” are not listening. A major health care chain in the Midwest will stop offering bottled water at its 20 hospitals starting Sunday. Contaminated Water?

Please read the whole story here. On the McGraw Milhaven radio show this morning he interviewed the mother, Tina Meier, of the young girl. Basically the indicted mother, Lori Drew, was found guilty of posting under a fake profile. The radio host brought up an interesting point?
The Ugly Side of Flowers
Now that Mother’s Day has passed, perhaps you are looking at some wilting flowers. My husband rarely gives me flowers. Not because he is an unromantic soul; we have two abyssinian cats that will eat anything with a leaf no matter where it is placed, and then proceed to get sick. About a month ago, my husband told me about how the typical cut flowers we would purchase on Mother’s Day are grown with dangerous pesticides harmful to the workers. So what did I tell me husband? Dooce On The Today Show
What do you get when you take two TV personalities/journalists with little chemistry, one popular blogger and ask them to discuss moms who blog? In the case of Heather Armstrong’s interview on the Today Show’s fourth hour, what you get is not a discussion at all, but a look into what is wrong with mainstream media. Baby Steps and Paper Towels
In 1931 Scott Paper Company introduced the first paper towel roll>
Growing up my mom did not use paper towels to the extent I do now. The ease of ripping a piece from the roll, wiping up a spill and disposing the paper into the trash can was something not to be ignored. The thought of whether or not a roll of paper towels was made from recycled materials or virgin wood pulp was not a concern. In the year 2008, the green movement is gaining momentum, and I am finally giving serious thought to my paper towel. Keep reading… Read the rest of this entry »
